Wick and Nectar candles are hand-poured with natural, vegan soy wax locally produced in the US. Wick And Nectar uses essential oils and premium fragrance oils that are free from phthalates, and toxins along with lead-free cotton wicks and zero additives or dyes to give you a safe and clean burn in your home. All candles are made in small batches at their in-home studio on the Westside of Cincinnati, Ohio. Wick And Nectar dries and presses many of the fruits and florals from their own home garden
Trim the wick to 1/4" each time before burning, this prevents uneven burning and excessive smoking.
The 1st burn is important! Burn your candle for 2-4 hours the first time you light it. Soy wax has a "memory" and will burn in the same pattern each time. Lighting it long enough for the first use ensures that your wax pools across the whole candle. This allows you to enjoy your candle longer!
To prevent your candle from overheating, we recommend not burning for longer than 4-6 hours at one time.
Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface, keep away from drafts and never leave candle unattended.
Keep out of reach of children and away from pets.
Reuse your candle vessel after its last burn to reduce waste! You can remove the last wax by pouring it out in a safe disposable container (let the wax cool before disposing). Wipe out the remaining wax from vessel. The wick tab will remove easily. Alternatively, you can place your candle in the freezer for 12 hours and pop out remaining wax from your vessel.
Candles made with 100% soy wax and no additives may have slight frosting or "wet" spots on the glass from temperature changes when cooling. These characteristics of soy wax have no effect on the candle and show that your candle is natural and handcrafted.
